About HKBU

Established in 1956, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), a publicly-funded institute of higher education, has its goals “Excellence, Innovation and Whole Person Education”. To this end, we strive to inculcate in our graduates the attributes of Citizenship, Knowledge, Learning, Skills, Creativity, Communication and Teamwork. In all our programmes we provide a broad-based and inspiring learning experience to produce talented graduates who can take up the challenge of innovating for a brighter future not only for the community but for the world, and in the broadest sense, for humanity.
 
At Hong Kong Baptist University, we not only advance knowledge, the indispensable element of tertiary education, but also nurture great minds. In 2010, the University introduced Vision 2020, the blueprint for its development over the next decade, and this provides a three-pronged focus – quality teaching and learning, innovative research and dedicated service to the community – as the key to establishing our role as the regional leader in Whole Person Education.
